I can now officially say that I am done with my sophomore year of college! I made it through all my finals and I think I did alright on all of them. However, this week was loaded with tons of stress and there were times when I just wanted to quit studying.
On Monday, I had two finals: one for my Measurement class and one for my Statistics class. Both were fairly easy. The Measurement test only covered three chapters, so it was not hard to refresh my memory. The Statistics test was a regular chapter test, so I did not stress myself out over that one. I also spent Monday getting ready for more upcoming finals. During finals week, I try to figure out when I am going to study for what test. This helps me spread out the studying rather than trying to cram it all in at once. Finally, I had play practice for a student directed play at 7:00 that night. This was another reason why I planned out my studying. I knew I would be busy at night, so I would not have all that much time to study.
Yesterday, I had one final and one presentation. My presentation was for the class Human Relations. For this project, my group had to lead a student generated topic. We chose to look at stereotypes throughout an individual's life. We involved the students in the presentation and made the topic both interesting and fun. I was happy to see that we got the full points for the presentation. Around the noon hour, I had a meeting for SWAT (Sophomores Working At Thriving). At this meeting, we informed the new members that they were now officially part of the SWAT team. When 7:00 rolled around, I had a final that I had been dreading: Social Gerontology. It was comprehensive, which meant it covered the entire book that we discussed during the semester. There was so much content to look over. When I filled out the study guide, it turned out to be fifteen pages long! However, the test turned out to be easier than I expected. The only bad thing about it was the amount of essay questions we had to answer. My hand was about ready to fall off by the end. Immediately after this final, I had play practice once more.
So far today, I have had one final, Discrete Math. This one is probably the one that I am most concerned about grade-wise. It was pretty difficult, and I am not sure if I did all the problems in the correct manner. All I can do is cross my fingers and wait for the grades to return. I plan on spending the rest of the day packing my room up. So far, I have about half of it loaded into my car. It seems like everytime I make a trip outside, there is more stuff in my room waiting for me when I return. Looking ahead at tonight, I have a play performance of the student directed plays. I think this will be a great time, as both the plays are pretty comical.
It's weird to think about, but tomorrow is the day I leave college for the summer. I still cannot believe how fast time flew by. It seems like only a week ago when I moved in. I am going to miss all the friends I have up here and the college lifestyle. On the positive side though, I know that summer can fly by just as quickly. Before I know it, I will be back up at Mount Marty once more. Until then, I will have to just wait patiently.
Until next time,

The Dreaded Finals
This weekend has been full of studying, as tomorrow marks the start of the dreaded finals week. I have four finals that I have to get ready for and one presentation to give.
I am not too worried about the two finals that I have tomorrow. My big concern is about the final that I have Tuesday night. The professor gave us a study guide for it, and after filling it out mine is 15 pages long! I actually started studying for this final yesterday, just because there is so much information to get through.
The good thing about this upcoming week is that my finals are pretty well spread out. I have two on Monday, one on Tuesday, and one on Wednesday. My presentation is also on Tuesday. I know some people like to get all of their finals over with right away, but I like it when they are spread out. I feel like I do not have to cram so much in such a little time then.
Tonight, the music department is having a party at the local bowling alley. We get to bowl free games and have free pop and pizza. It should be an extremely nice break from studying.
Well I have to cut this blog short as I have to get back to studying.
Until next time,
